Who Am I?

Who am I?

Who are you?

If we aren’t our bodies

If we aren’t our race

If we aren’t our gender

If we aren’t our emotions

If we aren’t our beliefs

If we aren’t our knowledge

If we aren’t our jobs

If we aren’t our names

If we aren’t any labels we have given ourselves....

Who am I?

Who are we?

I was soaking in the bathtub this evening allowing myself to merge with the warm water, until I no longer had a sense of my physical body, but instead felt myself rise up becoming lighter and lighter until I became light. I was me, but I was light. I was no longer separate from anything. The light that was me was the light that was everything...everyone...everywhere.

This is what I mean when I say, “I am light, and light I shall remain.”

This is what I am talking about when I say love and light is all that is truly real. When our bodies die and we leave this world, duality, school called Planet Earth, we once again see who we truly are. The really cool thing is that we don’t have to wait until we leave this lifetime to know who we truly are and step out of duality, back into our hearts.

While we are in duality and only believe what we can perceive with our 5 senses we feel the separation from each other and our truth. We get caught up in our emotions, beliefs, struggles, right and wrong, judging others and ourselves. We don’t understand why life isn’t fair, why we are here, why anyone has to struggle on such a fundamental level, who we truly are. We can’t see the whole picture, we can’t see how we are all connected, we can’t feel the love, we can’t feel the light. So, we decide that this is real, this must be reality, we are stuck here after all, and we resist it with all of our strength. We fight and we believe that if we give up this fight, if we turn to only love then nothing will change, and we desperately want to feel connected to others, connected to who we truly are, loved for who we are.

“Light. This is who I am. This is who we all are,” I thought.

“How can I help others see this? How can I help them feel this truth? How can I help them know themselves so they can see the world in a different light?” I asked God/Source/Universe.

The answer I felt was, “You don’t. You continue being the light and they will awaken in their own time. They will seek this truth if they so desire and you will be there to embrace them and welcome them home to themselves.”

As I came back down into my body I felt a pang of my heart strings being tugged. Being in a body is hard when you know what it feels like to be light, to be home. I love humanity so much and to not be able to save them gets to me sometimes. To have to trust in the design and allow them to have their struggles is hard, because I know what suffering is like, but I also know there is a way out and I wouldn’t want to rob anyone of that self-discovery and elation. I am light and I am also human.

There isn’t any one cause here on Earth that I feel is worthier than another, that I feel I have to side with or fight for. I follow my heart in everything I do, everyone I interact with. Sometimes I feel called to take physical action and sometimes that is simply seeing the light in someone who can’t see it yet in themselves.

Who are you?

You are light and light you shall remain.

If you don’t believe me, then take a moment, go into your heart, see the spark, feel the love and watch the light expand out all around you.

Who am I?

I am light, and light I shall remain.

Love & Light,

Lexi
